It was great to see the St. Louis Cardinals dominate the World Series and win it in five games, especially as the team with the worst regular season record to ever win a World Series. Regular season means nothing, just as long as you show up for the post season. And they most certainly did.
St. Louis will always hold a special place in our hearts because that is where our firstborn, Brock, was born, in DePaul Hospital on St. Charles Rock Road. We spent five very enjoyable and memorable years in the Gateway City, and developed some of the best friendships we have ever had while there. And I am sure they are an overjoyed bunch this morning!
What a great series! If the Reds can't win it all (who am I kidding to think they actually could lol) then I'll gladly take a Cardinals World Series Championship.
I was really happy to see how well Sean Casey played for the Tigers. Honestly he was the best player in the entire series. His bat was on fire. Just goes to show that he's still got it and another Red is having success with a different team (how many time do we see that). Did you catch the little profile thing they did about Sean Casey in game 4? His favorite book is the bible in which he said he reads everyday.

I have been watching the whole thing since I got here in Arizona. In short, baseball beats most things on TV.
I agree it is nice to see them win. Most of all, they are the underdog in a way, kinda like my Indians, and I like to root for the underdog.

I know what it's like to root for the underdog, but not be able to find much hope for them to win... I'm an Orioles fan! I grew up just North of Baltimore, MD. I loved to watch 'em play, and I would always have fun, as long as I was prepared for a loss. Actually, I decided about a year ago that I need to become a Reds fan, since we'll be moving to Athens one day (Lord willing!). So, just like that, I was a Reds fan in an instant! I can't wait 'til they're my home team and I get to go see 'em play. I've only been to the old and new Orioles' ballparks. It works out well because I always needed to have a NL team to root for... so, next year let's root for the Reds and O's in the series. Sorry, Timothy, I just can't root for a Cleveland team, but it's ok, I'll strive to love you anyway. And yes, Chris, I'm so glad that your Cards hammered on Detroit. As cities go, I like Detroit about as much as I like Cleveland!- smiles
