I love the Christmas season for many reasons. In our family we have a musical tradition at Christmas. What I mean by that is that since the mid 80’s my brother has been compiling Christmas tunes onto tapes and CD’s. Every Christmas he breaks out the CD’s, everything that was on tape has now been transferred to CD, and we turn up the music loud in the house. The music serves as our backdrop for decorating the Christmas tree, opening presents, and any other function that takes place in our house through the month of December. In all these passing years of my life I’ve come to fall in love with a certain few of these tunes. So I’ve decided to put my guitar and my passion for this music to some use. I’m putting together a Christmas album that I’m calling, “An Acoustic Christmas.” I’ll be performing some of my favorite Christmas tunes in an acoustic spirit. It will be a quiet, by the fireside kind of CD. It’s certainly not a jam out kind of CD. It’s just a bunch of quiet renderings of tunes that have hit me in the emotional soft spot around the holiday. Most of the songs are contemporary. There will be, undoubtedly, some songs that you’ve heard before and also some that you may never have heard. I’m going to try and buckle down this week to get as much of this project done as I can. If I’m lucky I’ll have the CD’s available for purchase at the Oasis bookstore this Sunday. I’ll just have to see how much ground I can cover between now and then. Well…enough typing…I better get to work right now…
Chad, I know we talked about this last night. I had another idea that may help a little as well. Why don't you compile all of the songs you have written and recorded demos for and put them on one CD (The Chad Demos... lol), and you could sell those as well. That would include all the "Voicings" songs plus the six or seven new ones that no one has on CD yet. I know we recorded a few of those on the Living Room CD, but there are still 4 or 5 that I can think of that have not yet made it do disk.
Just a thought to help generate a little more cash for you bro.

Oh my ,Chad!!! Put me down for one! I am the "Christmas Music Queen"! Just ask my poor Mom, .......I made her listen to 22 hours of Christmas CD's driving to and from Connecticut a few weeks ago. I actually start listening to my Christmas collection on October 1st every year........I can't get them all in if I start in December! LOL
