I just heard the verdict being read by the clerk of courts for the Scott Peterson trial. Does anyone else find it interesting that a person can be convicted for the murder of an unborn child?

I do... frankly, I find it revolting that our society seems to have decided that the measure of whether an unborn life has value is whether its mother wants it to live. But that's a rant for another day - perhaps this case will begin to make some people think about that standard and how wrong it truly is.

Yes, I do find this intersting. I find it odd that the Supreme Court thinks that it is o.k. to kill an unborn child. Even the hideous procedure of a partial birth abortion, where the child's brain is sucked out, while it is in the birth canal. To say that this is o.k. and other instances where an unborn child is killed is murder, seems to be a bit conflicted to me. The intent is to kill, and the results are the same. Are they not?Not that I am trying to minimize the deliberate murder of a woman and her unborn baby. That is horrible. But in both cases the end result is the same. A precious life is snuffed out.

Both comments well said. I agree.
