Back In Action!!!

Considering the slim chance that you are actually still checking this blog site to see if, by some chance, there might actually be an update... I want to proudly proclaim to you that I AM BACK and ready to blog! After nearly 5 weeks of complete computer frustration I have finally "bit the bullet" and purchased a new Sony Vaio A150... and boy does this thing ROCK! This is an extremely busy week, as April and Brock are both preparing for their first days in the Athens City Schools; I am playing the role of sound technician for the Riverbend Community Theater's production of Annie Get Your Gun every night this week. Ohio University begins classes next Tuesday, which means the new campus ministry -- A church within the Church -- will begin next Thursday.

Yes, it's a busy time. But I like it. Weeks like this one keep me on my toes. Hopefully I can squeeze in enough time to blog every day this week. Keep checkin' back! ; )

Bike Ride

Hey Oasis Folks!!! If you want to go on a bike ride with your kids at beautiful North Bend State Park, the Lawless' vehicle will lead the way from the American Legion Hall at 9:00 AM Saturday morning (or you can meet up at the Cool Spot in Coolville (Route 7) at 9:20. We should return around 4:00 in the afternoon.

a 3 lbs., 15 in. machine has the ability to halt life???

Aarrrggghhh!!!! Some of you know I have been having laptop computer problems. Now its more serious than ever. For a couple of weeks it was just functioning very, very slowly. I was certain I must have been infected with spyware, and was in the mode of, "I need to take this to somebody to get it fixed." Well, there was never a good time. Now the thing will not even boot to the blue Windows XP logon screen. I don't have a clue what to do. I am now at the mercy of a computer tech... anyone know of a good one?

Don't let the title of this thread fool you. I am certainly not allowing the laptop to halt life. Frustrate it a little? Perhaps. But life goes on just fine without it.

One thing I was planning to do this morning is send an email to my Oasis list (which is in the laptop) about the Oasis Bike Ride scheduled for this Saturday, August 7 at North Bend State park in WV. We need to know by Tuesday a "for sure" number of who is going. We plan to leave at 9:00 AM and return around 4:00 PM.
