Aarrrggghhh!!!! Some of you know I have been having laptop computer problems. Now its more serious than ever. For a couple of weeks it was just functioning very, very slowly. I was certain I must have been infected with spyware, and was in the mode of, "I need to take this to somebody to get it fixed." Well, there was never a good time. Now the thing will not even boot to the blue Windows XP logon screen. I don't have a clue what to do. I am now at the mercy of a computer tech... anyone know of a good one?
Don't let the title of this thread fool you. I am certainly not allowing the laptop to halt life. Frustrate it a little? Perhaps. But life goes on just fine without it.

One thing I was planning to do this morning is send an email to my Oasis list (which is in the laptop) about the Oasis Bike Ride scheduled for this Saturday, August 7 at North Bend State park in WV. We need to know by Tuesday a "for sure" number of who is going. We plan to leave at 9:00 AM and return around 4:00 PM. Yes, I did. But I didn't have a chance to backup anything from this past week. I actually did quite a bit of work in the last 7 days... some writing, artwork for the OU campus ministry, and the teaching MP3 from Sunday. Hopefully the techie can salvage it.
