What I am excited about in these first days of summer break:
~ Getting to spend all day playing with my kids, walking on the bike trail, playing baseball, etc...
~ Having an absolutely incredible opportunity to share the Gospel with people in the wake of death, and watching the Holy Spirit transform their lives...
~ Having some more time during the day to ponder God's Word, and pray spontaniously as we walk, exercise, etc...
~ Having friends come over, such as this evening, to eat dinner and watch "Waiting For Guffman"...
~ Getting to play worship music at Frog Jam 2003
~ Our new one-year membership at the Athens Rec. Center, providing us with opportunities for lots of conversations and new friends, not to mention the discipline of exercise...
~ Getting to meet Brock's teacher and visiting the Preschool that he will attend next fall, two days a week (he's very, very excited)...
~ Staying up late talking, knowing that there is no deadline for which to wake up in the morning (although Kaylee is always up by 7:00 AM)...
~ Washing the cars...
~ Reading for pleasure (both the Scripture and the new John Grisham novel... both are riveting reads)...
~ Playing more music... being able to get my guitar out 2 or 3 times during the day...
It's been a good beginning to a much anticipated summer.
